The Dar-ol-Quran Center of the Astan (custodianship) of the Kadimiya holy shrines has organized the course, according to Qafqn.org website.
It includes lessons on Quran recitation, rules of Tajweed, and correctly reading the verses of the Quran.
Visually-impaired women from Baghdad and its suburbs have taken the course, the report said.
Isra Hussain is the instructor of the course, which aims to help the participants in memorizing the Book of God.
It is also aimed at identifying and supporting Quranic talents among visually-impaired women.
Similar courses are planned to be held by the center for visually-impaired men in the near future.
Kadhimiya is a northern neighborhood of the city of Baghdad, capital of Iraq. It is home to the holy shrines of Imam Musa Kadhim (AS) and Imam Jawad (AS).
